We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Tourist Guide to join our cultural and tourism experience team in Ulhasnagar. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about local history, culture, food, and heritage, especially those who can bring alive the story of Ulhasnagar—from its Sindhi heritage roots to its vibrant modern marketplace culture. You will help visitors explore the city through engaging storytelling, guided tours, and immersive local experiences. Key Responsibilities Heritage & City Tours Conduct guided tours across key areas of Ulhasnagar, explaining its unique origin, Sindhi resettlement history, and transformation into a major commercial hub in the Mumbai region. Cultural Storytelling Share stories about Ulhasnagar’s traditions, festivals, and community life—especially Sindhi culture, local food habits, and marketplace evolution. Market Exploration Tours Guide visitors through famous shopping zones like Camp areas, explaining wholesale garment markets, footwear streets, and bargaining culture. Food & Local Experience Guidance Introduce tourists to popular local food spots, including Sindhi cuisine, street food, sweets, and iconic local eateries. Historical Context Sharing Explain nearby historical and regional connections, including Mumbai metropolitan development and railway-linked growth of Ulhasnagar. Visitor Assistance Help tourists with navigation, safety guidance, local transport information, and shopping tips. Content Support Capture photos, short videos, and travel notes to support tourism promotion campaigns and social media storytelling. Qualifications Education Students or graduates in Tourism, History, Hospitality, Geography, or Mass Communication are preferred. Communication Skills Strong spoken English; Hindi and Marathi are essential for local interaction. Sindhi knowledge is a strong advantage. Personality Friendly, confident, and outgoing personality with strong storytelling ability. Local Knowledge Good understanding of Ulhasnagar’s markets, cultural background, railway layout, and nearby tourist routes. Preferred Skills Storytelling Ability Ability to make historical and cultural information engaging and easy to understand. Photography & Content Awareness Basic skills in mobile photography and creating travel-friendly content. Crowd Handling Comfortable guiding small and large tourist groups in busy market environments. Multilingual Communication Ability to switch between languages depending on tourist groups.
